The EU Blue Card salary threshold increased to SEK 53,625 per month. The threshold equals 1.25 times the average Swedish gross salary published by the National Mediation Office and applies from July 15, 2026.

For applications submitted from June 16, the general 90% work permit threshold is SEK 34,470 per month, with a 75% exemption floor of SEK 28,725. The separate EU Blue Card threshold was not part of this work permit update.
